The BROWN on BRAND podcast was launched in 2019 as an extension of the ThumbStopper brand to discuss brand stewardship in the age of social media. Hosted by ThumbStopper CEO Matthew Brown and supported by company staff, the podcast focused on spotlighting branding/marketing and human interest topics, featuring an eclectic mix of entrepreneurs, executives, and public figures.
Produced in tandem with my role at ThumbStopper, I oversaw multiple responsibilities for the podcast’s development, including audio post-production, web administration, and approval of marketing collateral associated with the podcast. To differentiate between other business podcasts of its kind, our team focused on merging impactful storytelling and high-quality presentation into each release.
To that end, each episode release underwent the following workflow:
- Audio mixing, editing, and cuts of the original recording into a 30-40 minute episode, with ancillary clips (in both audio/video format) for consumption on social and digital platforms.
- Collaboration with the company’s Graphic Designer and Chief Brand Officer on the creation of high-quality visuals that would set our production apart from its contemporaries.
- Design of landing pages on the podcast’s main website for each episode, featuring the aforementioned rich media assets and long-form advertorials written in interview-style to reflect the episode, interviewee and their organization.
- Release of the podcast on the podcast website, Blubrry RSS platform, Apple Podcasts, iHeartMedia, and ancillary platforms.
In addition to frequent management of the BROWN on BRAND website and social media platforms, I oversaw the release of 20+ episodes with cooperation from the ThumbStopper staff during my time with the company.
